The Business Advocacy Committee serves as the trusted voice of the local business community. By building strong relationships with local organizations and elected officials, the committee works to create a pro-business environment that fosters economic growth and opportunity. While seats on the committee are by invitation only, individuals passionate about business advocacy are encouraged to express their interest in getting involved.

What We Do:
As a Local and Regional Government Affairs and Economic Development Committee, the Business Advocacy Committee focuses on:

  • Promoting Pro-Business Policies: Advocating for government initiatives that support business growth and sustainability.

  • Driving Economic Development: Collaborating on strategies to boost the region's economic vitality.

  • Addressing Key Issues: Mobilizing support for or opposition to policies impacting the business community and local quality of life.

MEMBER SERVICES

The Member Services Committee is dedicated to enhancing the membership experience. From recruiting new members to retaining existing ones, this committee oversees everything related to membership, including organizing impactful meetings, planning events, managing affinity programs, and securing sponsorships to provide added value to members.

PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE

The Programming Committee drives the creation and execution of high-quality programs and events designed to deliver exceptional networking and educational opportunities for Chamber members. By working closely with Chamber staff, the committee evaluates the relevance, frequency, and impact of events to ensure they provide maximum value to the membership.

GOLF COMMITTEE

The Golf Committee brings excitement and energy to the Chamber's annual golf outing. This group is responsible for planning a fun, memorable event that fosters community connections while creating a positive experience for all participants.

ATHENA LEADERSHIP AWARDS CONFERENCE

The ATHENA Leadership Awards Conference is an annual professional and personal development event held alongside the Medina County ATHENA Leadership Awards. The committee takes charge of event planning, securing sponsors, inviting dynamic speakers and vendors, promoting attendance, and handling all logistical details to ensure a seamless and inspiring experience.

SAFETY COUNCIL

The Safety Council, managed by the Chamber, offers businesses the opportunity to earn discounts on their worker’s compensation programs through active participation. Each month, the committee organizes expert speakers and programs in collaboration with the Worker’s Compensation Steering Committee to address the unique needs of members in this group.

MARKETING COMMITTEE

The Marketing Committee leads the charge in developing a strategic marketing plan tailored to target audiences. This includes crafting compelling messaging, creating sales and retention materials, and managing ongoing communication efforts to effectively promote the Chamber and its initiatives.

AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE

As the welcoming arm of the Chamber, the Ambassador Committee plays a key role in fostering connections and engagement. This committee welcomes new members, attends ribbon-cutting ceremonies, and provides support during meetings, making it an excellent opportunity to network and help fellow members feel embraced within the community.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE

The Young Professionals Committee drives the planning and promotion of events designed for young professionals in the greater Medina region. This group sets the calendar of events, recruits members, and fosters engagement to connect and empower the next generation of leaders.

HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE

Join the Hall of Fame Committee and help preserve Medina’s rich history! This prestigious group oversees everything from inductee selection to event planning for the Hall of Fame dinner. While not an annual event, it’s the perfect fit for those passionate about recognizing and honoring individuals who have contributed to Medina’s success.
