Chamber Employee Benefits Program
Anthem has partnered with several Ohio based Chamber of Commerce Chapters to create the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA/MEWA) group health insurance product for Ohio based business with 2-49 employees.
This is a medically underwritten product, so employers must have employee’s complete application via the Form Fire, electronic application system.
Once your group’s applications have been submitted, the rate proposals will be released to the broker or agent you have selected to represent you. If you would prefer a list of participating broker/agents approved to market and sell this product, please contact the Chamber office.
There are a variety of traditional 80/20 and H.S.A. plan options available from Anthem, all using the Blue Access PPO Network. This network includes: Cleveland Clinic, Summa Health System, and University Hospitals.
Eligibility: In order to be eligible, your company must be headquartered in Ohio, and must employ less than 50, full time employees or full time employee equivalents (FTE).
Premiums: Monthly billed premiums are based upon the rating your group receives from the quote, and collect via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from your business checking account.
Product Dues: There are product dues that are billed separately by the SOCA BP. These dues are calculated at the time of the new case sale, and then again annually on May 1st.
Renewals: All renewals occur on May 1st annually; regardless of the first month of coverage your company enrolled for.

Worker's’ Compensation Member Discount Program
Hunter Consulting provides comprehensive consulting and claims administration in the areas of working and unemployment compensation, disability case management and insurance risk services.
There are two aspects to the Worker's’ Compensation Member Discount Program.
Group Experience Rating - The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) permits “like” employers to pool their experiences, which results in an over-all premium discount. While the BWC sets the maximum discount for each group year, Hunter Consulting is able to offer a number of discount levels in multiple industry groups; not to exceed the BWC present maximum.
Group Retrospective Rating - Group Retrospective Rating is recommended for those employers who have significant claims in their experience. It allows employers to pool together through a sponsoring organization and receive periodic refunds or assessments based on the performance of the group.
